UW-Eau Claire student earns honors for leadership, research RELEASED: Nov. 19, 2009 EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire senior Caleb Johnson, Hudson, was recognized by the Association for Environmental Health Academic Programs as the October 2009 student of the month. Johnson, an environmental public health major, is president of the Student National Environmental Health Association. He was recognized for his leadership in SNEHA, strong academic performance and participation in faculty-student research. Johnson also was interviewed at the recent National Environmental Health Association conference about his internship experience with the Hennepin County Environmental Health Department in Minnesota. As a result of his internship performance, Johnson, along with UW-Eau Claire ENPH seniors Jay Nielsen, McFarland, and Patrick Bloecher, Eland, earned scholarships through the FDA to attend a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention conference in October.
