dc.description.abstractPerformance evaluations must be viewed as an integral part of a manager's responsibility to their employees. The purpose of a performance evaluation is to ensure that managers and their direct reports have a clear and mutual understanding of the job functions being performed, the standards set by the organization and the current state of performance by the employee. This paper will reflect on the current state of performance evaluations and employee's perceptions within the City.en_US
