The distribution of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in Navigation Pool No. 8 of the Upper Mississippi River has been investigated. Serological and pyocin typing was performed on 152 isolates, and serological type 1 was found to be the most prevalent (34.2%). Pyocin typing was found to be the most efficient method of differentiation, although serological typing was more practical.en
