Our previous research reveals striking differences in climate change public opinion between citizens in the United States and China. In particular, Chinese citizens show a greater acceptance of climate change realities and a higher level of concern as well as greater support for joining an international climate change treaty compared to Americans. This poster examines the degree to which these previous findings translate into public willingness-to-pay (WTP) in terms of a higher cost of living resulting from climate change mitigation policy.en
