Uncontrolled: A Biophilic Experience Exploring the Complexities of Nature

Abstract

Uncontrolled is a biophilic experience that investigates the complexities of nature through a textile installation, a filmed narrative, and a collection of artist books. The project traces how a moment of perceived harmony in nature was not only experienced but also deeply explored. The development and interpretation of the experience are structured around three guiding themes: finding meaning in experiences through exploration, building understanding through research and imagination, and presenting a narrative through multiple approaches of engagement. From concept to completion, the studio methodology mirrored the referenced ecosystem, emerging through cycles of observation, research, and material experimentation.
