Identifying preferred stimuli that function as reinforcers is extremely important when teaching skills to young children diagnosed with autism. Preference assessments can be conducted to identify a range of high to low preferred stimuli. The purpose of this study was to determine if physical play serves as a reinforcer and to determine if a preference assessment is predictive of reinforcing effects.en
