Jo Handelsman is Professor of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology at the Yale School of Medicine. Prior to her appointment at Yale, she was Professor at the Department of Plant Pathology at UW Madison. This interview documents her involvement with the early conceptualization of the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery.
