Abstract

Current research suggests that adults with intellectual disabilities have a high rate of obesity, physical inactivity, and poor fruit and vegetable intake; yet, no study has examined the interaction of these three components. The purpose of this study was to examine the physical activity (PA) and fruit and vegetable intake of adults with intellectual disabilities to determine if they meet the current recommendations and their impact on obesity.
