Abstract
This study used 36 year of labor market data from the U.S. Census Bureau, covering 1971 through 2006, to analyze the determinants of wage rates across the entire U.S. population and the ways in which they have changed. It included all of the the standard dterminants: education level, years of potential experience, hours worked per week, weeks worked per year, industry of employer, and state of residence.
