The purpose of this study was to survey nurses and medical assistants in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, on the following: perceptions of the importance of healthcare equity; attitudes and perceptions toward low-income patients; awareness of local resources to address needs of low-income patients; and practice in dealing with low-income patients.
