Volleyball Player Competitiveness and Perceived Value to the Team

Abstract

Volleyball is a team sport that incorporates teamwork, communication, and individual skills and achievements within a learning and competitive atmosphere. Although teamwork is stressed, some players will still be of more value to the team than will others. Little research has been conducted on different aspects of coaches' and players' perceptions. The purpose of this study was to focus on perceptions of value to the team.
