Abstract
This study investigated how multimodal writing influences motivation and overall quantity
of writing in Kindergarten learners. Having compared six multimodal methods (visual, aural,
linguistic, gestural, spatial, haptic ) in large and small groups, this research sought to identify
which learning modality is most effective in enhancing motivation and length of writing. Findings
suggested the haptic and spatial modalities were the most impactful and support the use of
variables like visuals, auditory elements, and physical input, to boost writing engagement and
longer length of time spent writing. The results highlight the importance of intentional
instructional design in shaping foundational writing motivation and skills.
