Abstract
Tape recorded interview with John ("Joe") Jax conducted by Charles Buelow in September 2000. Jax came to the University of Wisconsin-Stout in 1959 as an assistant librarian and basketball coach. He was named Head Librarian in 1971. He discusses the library, the School of Learning Resources, library technology, faculty governance, faculty life, the university administration, and city issues during the time of his service on the Menomonie City Council.
