Oral History Interview, Clare Huhn (2402)

Abstract

Clare Huhn speaks about her work as an institutional data analyst for UW-Madison spanning over three decades. Huhn describes her days as an undergraduate student at UW Madison in the 1980s, her experiences as a teacher in Milwaukee and her return to UW-Madison as a graduate student and her transition to becoming a data analyst. Huhn talks about the changes to UW-Madison campus life including smoking policies and registration processes. Huhn also talks about the impact of technology in data analysis and how Covid 19 shaped work as a data analyst. Finally, Huhn describes the changes in campus culture after 9/11 and how that shaped interpersonal relations among the university staff. This interview was conducted for inclusion into the UW-Madison Archives and Records Management Oral History Program as part of the Staff Award Winners Oral History Project.
