| dc.description.abstract | An essential component of reading instruction is motivation. This study explored the impact of peer book discussion on motivation in reading in a fourth grade classroom in a rural community. Participants were engaged in three different types of peer book discussion within their classroom. These three book discussions were, reading buddies, booktalk posters, and informal book chats.
