In her June 2012 interview with Christine Haas, Ali Blanchard details her life growing up in Oregon WI. She talks about her coming out process during high school. She gives the details of the assault/ hate crime she experienced her first semester at Whitewater, because she was gay. She talks about doing the necessary work to get past being a victim. She discusses the following topics: LGBT issues, coming out, her family, her involvement with Orchard Ridge United Church of Christ, GSA?s, college life, her research, and her future plans. This interview was conducted for inclusion into the UW-Madison Oral History Program.
