dc.description.abstract	Research on the physical health of the Chinese elderly is very rare. Data for this study came from a survey conducted by the China Research Center of Aging in 2006. The data was used to answer the following questions. What are the common diseases among the Chinese elderly? How do they perceive their health status? Do their socioeconomic and demographic characteristics have an impact on their perceived health?	en
