Description
Abstract: In Lori Steckervetz?s three interview sessions, she talks about her time at the University of Wisconsin-Madison - both as an undergraduate, and as a student of the School of Library and Information Studies (SLIS). She talks about the city of Madison?s LGBTQ community and adapting to life in a new city. She talks about her background in Pennsylvania, but most of the interviews are focused on her time in Madison. She goes into detail about her time as a student in SLIS, how she felt comfortable in her own skin, and along with other SLIS students started the LGBTQ-SC (an LGBTQ-focused library student group). She mentions post-graduation plans, and how SLIS has prepared her for a future career.
