The Vikings have always been a mysterious culture particularly the women who lived in that time and the questions that surround them. This paper looks to answer some inquiries by examining specific burials and the meanings behind the grave goods contained within them, and explain these by using Viking mythology. All to gain greater understanding of what women's role meant in Viking society as well as what roles they were able to have.en
