Abstract
In their 2010 interview with Emma Schroeder, Donna and Peter Napoleone share their memories of the Eagle Heights Community Garden. The Napoleones arrived in Madison in the late 1970s. They had plots as students, and then later returned as community members. The Napoleones retell their experiences with the community government, growing produce, the configuration of the gardens, and how their time in Eagle Heights has affected their gardening practices since leaving UW. This interview was conducted for inclusion into Schroeder’s master’s thesis on the Eagle Heights Community Gardens and was given to the UW-Madison Oral History Program.
