Abstract
: In his 2010 interview with Emma Schroeder, Mike Oberdorfer shares his memories of the Eagle Heights Community Garden, which was not only a space but a diverse social community. Mike recollects that Eagle Heights was a very international community, remembers being introduced to a variety of exotic vegetables, and recalls organizing the Eagle Heights coop. Additionally, Mr. Oberdorfer discusses his activism to protect the University Bay marsh. This interview was conducted for inclusion into Schroder’s master’s thesis on the Eagle Heights Community Gardens, and was given to the UW-Madison Oral History Program.
