Abstract
In his three 2012 interviews with Greg Bond, Lewis Ritcherson discussed his career as a football player and a student at the University of Wisconsin; his work as an admission counselor at UW; and his three years as as assistant football coach and the Director of the Minority Services Office at UW-River Falls. He also talked about growing up in Waco, Texas; his career as a heavily recruited quarterback at A.J. Moore High School; and his football coaching career in Texas during the 1970s and 1980s. In discussing his time at the University of Wisconsin, Ritcherson recounted his conflicts with head football coach John Coatta, and he discussed the racial turmoil that beset the football program in the late 1960s.
