Abstract

This collection contains records of the sorority’s activities on campus, such as bylaws, awards, budgets, photographs, scrapbooks, and correspondence with other Greek organizations. Born-digital materials are located in the digital repository.

Description

Gamma Sigma Sigma formed as a national service sorority in 1952. The Alpha Pi Chapter formed in 1965 to promote campus fellowship, develop friendship and leadership, and serve the campus and larger community. In the early years, the Chapter cosponsored the Red Cross Blood Drive, ushered at campus events, and raised funds for charitable organizations through teas and dances. Gamma Sigma Sigma continues as a co-ed chapter that partners with the American Cancer Society, March for Dimes, and Alex’s Lemonade Stand.
