dc.description.abstractThis study describes the University Open Access Publication Fund from 2012 to 2018 at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. The fund supports the “gold” open access model by covering partial costs for authors who publish in journals with article processing charges (APC). Since its establishment the fund has supported publishing 76 articles in fully open access and hybrid journals. Beginning fall 2017 the allocation formula has been increased for publishing in a fully open access journal. The impact of the recent revisions is discussed.
