He discusses the culture of the department, the physical facilities, and his graduate student instruction. He talks about his time on the Animal Care and Use Committee and trends in the animal rights movement. He talks about his involvement with the Health Emotions Research Institute and other research centers and programs. He talks about the changes in UW administration, the relationship of UW with state legislature and the population, the UW student body.
