Abstract
The problem in this study was to determine the effect of KR delay and post-KR delay on a modified free throw test. The Ss were 72 male physical education majors from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. The Ss were randomly assigned to 1 of 6 treatment groups. The
testing consisted of shooting 15 free throws wearing a blindfold and headphones. The last 10 free throw scores were utilized as the raw data. It took 2 days to complete all the testing. A 2-way ANOVA with 2 levels on the post-KR delay factor, and 3 levels on the KR delay factor was used for statistical purposes. Results indicated no significant difference of free throw scores as a result of varying the KR delay interval from 5 to 15 sec., and varying the post-KR delay interval from 5 to 10 sec. It appeared that slight increases in free throw scores resulted from increases in the KR delay interval.
