Abstract
Description
This project seeks to explore and explain the divide among University of Wisconsin-Madison students. The divide is based on stereotypes that have emerged based on where people are from. People from the East and West Coasts of the U.S., for example New York and California, have been dubbed coasties and people who were born and raised In Wisconsin have been dubbed sconnies. This divide is prevalent throughout all aspects of college life and this documentary seeks to understand how and why this divide occurred and how it is fueled. The documentary mainly consists of interviews with self proclaimed coasties, sconnies and people working in the institutions that serve these people.
