Abstract: In his two interviews with Emma Schroeder, Robert House shares his memories about the Eagle Heights Community Garden during the 1960s when he and his wife were graduate students at UW. House recalls his memories advocating for new land grants for the gardens, growing a variety of crops, irrigation, the relevance of community garden projects to various communities, canning vegetables, the use of fertilizers and pesticides, raising children in the Eagle Heights community, and relationships with other residents.
