Dominy watch repair watchmaker data set

Abstract

This dataset describes a number of watchmakers researched by Charles Hummel over the course of 14 years. These watchmakers were active between the years 1767 and 1841-42. This data was derived from the repair logs from Nathaniel Dominy IV and Felix Dominy’s shops where over 2000 watches were repaired.

When accessing the dataset, begin with the Readme file. The .csv files are meant to be ingested into a relational database software. The entire dataset can be downloaded and keyword searched via the Microsoft Excel file.
