Dr. Stoeltje is well informed on the American West, specifically the Rodeo and other associated forms of cultural performance. Dr. Stoeltje researched performances, rituals, and gender roles outside of America when in the 1990s, she explored the role of Asante Queen Mothers in Ghana and West Africa. Dr. Stoeltje's impact on folklore and feminism is easily seen by reading any of her fantastic and eye-opening articles.en
