Abstract
Description
In his 2009 interview with Emma Schroeder, Richard Lawton shares his memories of the Eagle Heights Community Garden. Lawton described his chemistry background that brought him to grad school at UW, dealing with pests that ate his crops, the differences between gardening in California and Madison, using compost and herbicides, and the sense of community that Eagle Heights fostered. Lawton further reminisces on how Madison has changed over the years.
This interview was conducted for inclusion in a Master?s thesis on the Eagle Heights Community Gardens.
