| dc.description | In his 1983 interview with Barry Teicher, Arno T. Lenz discussed his experiences as a student and employee of the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1924-1974. Lenz cited his courses and faculty during his studies that inspired a career in civil engineering from his undergraduate through his graduate program (1924-1932). The creation and evolution of the civil engineering department, as well as Lenz?s contributions in departmental committees is discussed. Also, Mrs. Lenz spoke on the social obligations of a spouse of a faculty member. This interview was conducted for inclusion into the UW?Madison Oral History Program.
