The purpose of this study was to examine factors that contribute to utilization of on-campus speech and language services by student veterans with brain injury. Data was obtained from three sources: a 60-minute focus group discussion including 11 active-duty military students or veterans, a brief exit survey completed by focus group participants, and field notes taken by the primary investigator. Thematic analysis of the data revealed 18 barriers and 19 facilitators to service utilization. Seven broad categories of factors were identified and discussed: Personal Influence, Marketing, Environment, Interpersonal Influence, Target Population, Societal Influence, and Logistics.en
