Abstract

The Elkhorn Mountains volcanics (EMV) of southwest Montana comprise Late Cretaceous andesitic to rhyolitic tuffs and flows that are adjacent to and coeval with the Boulder batholith (Bb) and it satellite intrusions (Si). We have undertaken detailed mapping and geochemical studies to investigate the relationship between the deformation and magmatism of the region.
