| dc.description.abstract | This paper will examine the British colonial system in West Africa and the effect it has had on the African people at the time of conquest and until this day. I will try to find things that are troubling the people and area and tie it to the colonial system that was in place. Corruption, prejudice, and misunderstandings are but a few of the reasons for troubles in this region, along with British policy itself, but I will look deeper to see what the underlying themes and causes are and if they can be traced to British colonialism. I hope to find something that can be traced back to colonialism and then maybe the problem can be better understood and remedied. | en |
