Abstract
Reactions that form carbon-carbon bonds are key to essentially all processes that transform chemical feedstocks into specialty chemicals and consumer products. One of the most fundamental of these is the Friedel-Crafts reaction. This study looked at the reaction between an organo-fluoride compound and boron trifluoride.
