Abstract
Little is known about the prevalence of Lyme disease infected ticks in Wisconsin. This
study was undertaken to detect the presence of Lyme disease causing bacteria, Borrelia
burgdorferi (B. burgdorferi), in deer ticks (Ixodes scapularis).
