Creating Meaning, Creating Citizens: The U.S. Supreme Court and the Control of Meaning in the Public

Abstract

This working paper examines how the United State's Supreme Court creates meaning, and how this meaning affects citizens. The author argues that the creation of meaning by the Court limits the role citizens are able to play in democracy.
