This study examines the shell tempered Oneota pottery from the Pammel Creek site in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The Oneota lived in the area from A.D. 1300-1650. This investigation analyzed trail markings on Oneota ceramics to try to identify if different vessels at different locations within the same site can be matched based on their tool shape and size. This data shows that the Oneota at this site did not have individuals specializing in ceramic manufacture, however there were a few individuals making multiple vessels.en
