SFX software is widely known for its context-sensitive linking capabilities, but it can also provide a searchable and browseable interface to a library?s print and electronic journal holdings data. After five years of maintaining a homegrown web-based periodicals holding database, Murphy Library has licensed SFX software and migrated all periodicals holdings information from its locally managed database to SFX. This article outlines the process of switching to this new system and some of the benefits of moving to an SFX environment.en
