Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine if the US 29/30 genes in human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) influence viral DNA replication. Mutant
virus formed plaques (killed foreskin fibroblast
cells) beginning at 5 days post-inoculation (dpi) versus 7 dpi for parental wild-type virus.
