Abstract

Company XYZ faces challenges with employee retention in the productions areas that hinders the ability to meet quality standards and demands of the customer. This inability to keep talent not only creates risk to the organization's ability to meet customer quality and on-time delivery promises, but also results in the loss of current customers and future business opportunities. The purpose of the study was to identify why employees are leaving the organization and develop recommendations about how to retain the employees that are still working. The research identified opportunities to further assist in understanding what employees are looking for in regard to an employer and work environment in order to stay long-term in the organization and will be the basis for future improvement related recommendations focusing on fostering employee retention in production-work environments.
