Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the current inventory management practices at Company XYZ, a custom film manufacturer specializing in custom films for numerous industries including: medical related products, office products, automotive products, and other specialty film applications. From this evaluation, conclusions were to be drawn on whether or not the current inventories being maintained were to large, to small, or correct. With this information, inventory adjustments and modifications were to be communicated to assist in effectively managing new and existing inventory with the ultimate goal of minimizing on hand inventory while still supporting production and the customer service model which had been utilized since the company’s inception.
