Abstract

Dimethylcarbamoyl chloride (dimethylcarbamic chloride) is used as a solvent for organic chemical reactions. It serves as an intermediate in the processing of fluorinated urethanes and in the manufacturing of certain pesticides. It has low solubility in water and enters the aquatic environment in the effluents from industrial processes and spills.
