Abstract
Dwayne Rohweder served the UW system and the state of Wisconsin as both an extension agent and as a faculty member in the Department of Agronomy. Initially working in Iowa as a coop extension agent, Rohweder eventually earned his PhD and came to UW where he worked with farmers around the state using scientific data to refine the available forage for livestock. In the late 1960s Rohweder traveled to Brazil and established similar programs at Universidade Federal do Rio Grand do Sul. He closes the interview by discussing professional life after Brazil, organizations he served, and the process of retirement. This interview was conducted for inclusion into the UW-Madison Archives & Records Management oral history collection.
