| dc.description.abstract | Geography is a wide reaching study of the earth and all of its complexities. There is so much data existing in the world today just asking to be managed and mapped, this is where cartography comes into play. Cartography combines geographic data with design to tell a story that visually expresses spatial ideas in ways that are widely accessible and directly understandable. For this directed study, we primarily focused on three products. The first one was a Map Poster for the U.S. National Kubb Championship. The second was a few map pitches for a travel book series The Best American Travel Writing by chief editor Jason Wilson. As for the the third product, we are currently finishing up a reference map for a local festival (This is currently ongoing and will not be referenced further in the poster). | en_US |
