Abstract

The purpose of this study was to conduct a local survey of the female deer tick population harboring Borrelia burgdorferi in Wisconsin during the spring of 2014. This is a continuation of a larger study that began in 2010. Borrelia burgdorferi, which is spread through bites, is the bacteria responsible for causing Lyme disease.
