A study was made of over 1000 acres in the northern Stevens Point area to examine past land uses from 1938, 1968, and 1975 airphotos and their compatibility with soils. Most of the land uses were not compatible with soil suitabilities and there did not seem to be any correlation between land use development and suitable soil sites. Most of the soils are too wet for development, especially residential use and sanitary facilities (sanitary landfill, septic tank filter field, and sewage lagoon).en_US
