Abstract

The CROSS WALK Dual Motion Cross Trainer (CROSS WALK) (Proform, Logan, UT) is a motorized treadmill designed to increase the energy cost of walking by incorporating arm activity during walking, thus increasing the muscle mass used during exercise. This study investigated the potential increases in exercise intensity and energy cost associated with the use of the CROSS WALK.
