Cultivating Educator Skills

Abstract

Many educators enter the classroom environment as experts in their specialty of practice but have had little opportunity to develop educator skills. In order for new educators to grow in their professional development, institutions must provide them with resources for mentorship and skill building. This study looked at how the University of Wisconsin--Eau Claire offers new educators the opportunity to participate in development workshops sponsored by the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL).
